First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether the phase of a woman's menstrual cycle changes how well dental numbing works for a tooth infection called pulpitis. Researchers will give 150 women a standard numbing shot and measure pain during treatment. The goal is to see if hormone changes affect anesthesia success, which could help dentists provide better pain control.
