Could your period change how much anesthesia you need?

NCT ID NCT07456202

Summary

This study aims to understand if a woman's menstrual cycle phase or menopausal status affects how much anesthesia is needed during gallbladder surgery and the likelihood of nausea and vomiting afterward. Researchers will observe 120 female patients having this common surgery, recording their anesthesia doses and checking for nausea post-surgery. The goal is to gather knowledge to potentially improve personalized care, but this is an observational study and does not test a new treatment.
