Could your period affect your dental numbing?
NCT ID NCT07306533
Summary
This study aims to understand if a woman's menstrual cycle phase influences how well a standard dental numbing shot works during a root canal procedure. Researchers will observe 150 female patients, aged 20-40, who need a root canal for a painful tooth. They will compare pain levels during the procedure across five different phases of the menstrual cycle to see if hormonal changes make the numbing less effective.
