Blood clot boost for knee repair? new trial tests healing power

NCT ID NCT06541756

Summary

This study is testing if adding a special fibrin clot, made from a patient's own bone marrow, can help knee cartilage (meniscus) tears heal better after surgery. It will compare this new method against the standard repair surgery in 120 adults with specific knee injuries. The main goal is to see if the clot leads to more complete healing one year later, as seen on an MRI scan.
