Bone marrow wrap may boost meniscus repair healing

NCT ID NCT03968029

First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tested whether wrapping a torn meniscus with a protective collagen membrane and injecting bone marrow helps it heal better than standard repair alone. 96 adults with meniscus tears in the non-vascular area were followed for 24 months. The goal was to see if the wrap reduces failure and improves knee function and pain.
