New meningitis vaccine trial aims to protect young children

Summary
This study tests a new vaccine to protect children aged 2 to 6 against four types of meningococcal bacteria that cause meningitis. About 660 healthy children will receive either the new vaccine or a licensed one. Researchers will check if the new vaccine triggers a strong immune response and is safe by taking blood samples and monitoring side effects for up to 6 months.
