Summary
This study will test a rapid diagnostic panel (BioFire FilmArray) that can identify 14 different causes of meningitis and encephalitis in about one hour. Researchers want to see if using this test leads to faster, more accurate treatment and shorter hospital stays. The study will involve 182 adults with symptoms of meningitis or encephalitis.
