Brain scans probe hidden cause of memory loss after stroke
NCT ID NCT04449666
Summary
This study aims to understand why memory problems often occur after a specific type of brain bleed, even when brain scans look normal. Researchers will use brain scans and memory tests in 30 patients during their recovery to see if memory issues are linked to shrinkage in a key memory area called the hippocampus. The goal is to gather knowledge to potentially improve future care, not to test a treatment.
