Gentle sweep may help moms avoid repeat C-Sections
NCT ID NCT06103071
Summary
This study tested whether a simple, in-office procedure called membrane sweeping helps start labor naturally for women who want to try a vaginal birth after having one previous C-section. Researchers enrolled 384 women to see if the sweep increased the chances of labor starting on its own and led to a successful vaginal delivery. The goal was to find a safe way to help more women have a vaginal birth and reduce the need for repeat C-sections.
