Gentle technique may help pregnant women avoid medical induction
NCT ID NCT03591159
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple procedure called membrane sweeping can help labor start on its own in healthy pregnancies that reach full term. Researchers want to see if this reduces the need for medical induction, which is often used when pregnancies go past their due date. The study involves 256 pregnant women aged 18-35 who are eligible for vaginal delivery.
