Sleep hormone gel tested for root canal pain relief
NCT ID NCT07495605
Summary
This study aims to see if a gel containing melatonin (a hormone your body makes for sleep) works better than the standard calcium hydroxide paste at reducing pain after a root canal procedure. Researchers will measure pain levels and check for bacteria in 50 adults with a specific type of tooth problem (necrotic pulp in a lower premolar). The goal is to find a more effective way to manage discomfort during dental treatment.
