Can a sleep hormone pill boost fertility? new trial investigates
NCT ID NCT07318974
Summary
This study is testing whether taking melatonin pills for four weeks before egg retrieval can help women with diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply). Researchers want to see if the antioxidant properties of melatonin can improve egg and embryo quality during a specific fertility procedure called ICSI. The goal is to see if this leads to higher pregnancy rates compared to a placebo pill.
