Sleep hormone tested to speed up dental implant recovery
NCT ID NCT07374523
Summary
This study is testing if applying a melatonin gel directly into a fresh tooth socket can help a new dental implant bond better with the jawbone. Researchers are comparing this approach to a standard procedure in 16 adults who need a single tooth replaced in their lower jaw. The main goal is to see if melatonin improves implant stability and reduces bone loss after the procedure.
