Sleep hormone tested as dental implant 'Glue'
NCT ID NCT07374523
Summary
This study is testing if applying a gel containing melatonin, a natural hormone, directly into the socket after a tooth is pulled can help a new dental implant bond to the jawbone more quickly and strongly. Researchers will compare this approach to a standard procedure in a small group of patients. They will measure how stable the implant is, how much bone is lost, and how much pain and swelling patients experience.
