Face cream showdown: which works better for dark spots?
NCT ID NCT07327983
Summary
This study compared two common skin creams used to treat melasma, a condition causing dark patches on the face. 146 adults with this condition used either a 20% azelaic acid cream or a 4% hydroquinone cream for 12 weeks. Researchers measured how well each cream reduced the dark patches and tracked any side effects like redness or itching to see which treatment was more effective and safer.
