First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two creams—tranexamic acid and ethyl ascorbic acid—to see which works better for melasma, a condition causing dark patches on the skin. About 128 adults aged 18 to 50 with melasma will apply one of the creams and be monitored for improvement. The goal is to find a more effective topical option to lighten these patches.
