New shot at melanoma: doctors test direct tumor injections to fight cancer
NCT ID NCT07230613
Summary
This study is testing a new approach for treating stage III melanoma that can be surgically removed. Researchers are injecting two immunotherapy drugs directly into the tumor before surgery, hoping this will be more effective and cause fewer body-wide side effects than standard IV treatments. The trial will enroll 50 adults to see if this method can shrink or eliminate the cancer in the tumor and nearby areas.
