New combo targets Hard-to-Treat melanoma in early trial

Summary
This study tests whether adding an experimental drug (GSK2636771) to an approved immunotherapy (pembrolizumab) can help control metastatic melanoma in patients whose tumors have lost a gene called PTEN. Up to 41 adults with advanced melanoma that hasn't responded to prior treatment will take part. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if the combination shrinks tumors.
