Double attack on brain tumors: radiation boosts immune therapy in groundbreaking trial
NCT ID NCT03340129
Summary
This study is testing if adding a precise form of brain radiation to a two-drug immunotherapy combination works better than the immunotherapy alone. It is for adults with melanoma skin cancer that has spread to the brain but is not yet causing symptoms. The main goal is to see if the combined approach reduces deaths specifically related to the brain tumors one year after starting treatment.
