First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study is testing a new implantable insulin pump (MIIPS 2020) in 40 adults with type 1 diabetes whose blood sugar is hard to control with standard insulin shots or external pumps. The pump is placed inside the body and delivers insulin directly, aiming to reduce dangerous high and low blood sugar episodes. The main goal is to see how accurately the pump delivers insulin over time.
