Diet trial tests food as medicine for fading memory
NCT ID NCT06287489
Summary
This study tested whether following a Mediterranean diet for three months could improve both thinking skills and physical abilities in older adults who have noticed their own memory starting to slip. Researchers enrolled 57 participants and had them try the special diet or their regular diet in a random order, using brain scans and blood tests to see how it might work. The goal was to see if this specific eating pattern could help control early cognitive decline and understand its effects on the brain and body.
