Can a mediterranean diet save your heart after a heart attack?

NCT ID NCT05244707

Summary

This study tested whether an intensive 12-week Mediterranean diet program could help people recovering from a serious heart attack. Twenty-one patients in cardiac rehab were assigned to either this intensive program with nutrition coaching and support tools, or to standard care. Researchers measured changes in heart disease risk factors, weight, and quality of life to see if the extra support made a difference.
