Mothers' medications: how much reaches baby through breast milk?
NCT ID NCT07346716
Summary
This study aims to understand how medications taken by breastfeeding mothers pass into their breast milk and whether this affects their infants. Researchers are recruiting 250 breastfeeding women who are already using prescription or over-the-counter medicines as part of their normal care. Participants provide breast milk and urine samples and complete health questionnaires to help create better safety guidelines for medication use during breastfeeding.
