New ultrasound technique aims to improve diagnosis of chest diseases
NCT ID NCT06128681
First seen Feb 10, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a new ultrasound-guided method to open the mediastinum (the space in the chest between the lungs) helps doctors more accurately diagnose and treat diseases in that area. Researchers will compare this new technique to traditional methods in 30 people with chest abnormalities. The goal is to see if the new approach leads to better diagnosis and allows for treatments like freezing or laser to destroy tumors.
