New ointment tested for stubborn diabetic foot sores

NCT ID NCT01154374

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested whether a topical ointment called MEBO could help heal diabetic foot ulcers. Seven participants with long-lasting ulcers were randomly assigned to use either MEBO or standard wound care for up to eight weeks. The main goal was to see if MEBO was safe and if it led to complete wound healing.
