Motion sensors aim to track progress in SMA babies on new treatments

NCT ID NCT04833348

Summary

This study is testing a new way to measure movement in babies with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) who are receiving new gene or drug therapies. Researchers will use small, wearable motion sensors on the babies' arms and legs to get a more detailed picture of their motor function. The goal is to create a better tool to see how well these new treatments are working to improve movement.
