New therapy aims to ease the hidden burden of cancer caregiving

Summary
This study tests a type of talk therapy called Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy for caregivers of people with advanced cancer. The goal is to see if it helps caregivers feel more meaning and purpose in life, and reduces stress, anxiety, and depression. About 200 caregivers will receive either this therapy or standard supportive therapy for 7 sessions, and fill out questionnaires before and after treatment up to one year later.
