Bug powder vs. traditional food: battle to feed hungry kids
NCT ID NCT07284095
Summary
This study will test if a daily supplement made from ground mealworms (Tenebrio molitor flour) can improve nutrition and growth in children with chronic malnutrition in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Forty children aged 2-10 will be given either the mealworm flour or a traditional maize-soy flour for a period of time. Researchers will measure the children's growth and check their blood for key vitamins and minerals to see which supplement works better.
