First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study checks how well a new test, the QIAstat-Dx ME Panel Plus, can detect meningitis and encephalitis from leftover spinal fluid samples. Researchers will compare the test's results to standard methods to see if it works accurately in everyday hospital use. About 1500 samples from people with signs of these serious brain infections will be analyzed.
