Summary

This study tested a drug called MCI-186 in 36 adults who had an acute ischemic stroke (a stroke caused by a blood clot). The main goal was to see if the drug is safe and how the body processes it. Participants received either the drug or a placebo within 1 to 24 hours after their symptoms started. The study did not aim to cure the stroke, but to gather safety information for future research.
