Experimental shot aims to stabilize dangerous blood sugar drops after bariatric surgery

NCT ID NCT07029412

Summary

This study is testing whether a single injection called MBX 1416 can help prevent dangerously low blood sugar in people who have had weight-loss surgery. About 10 participants will receive the injection and have their blood sugar measured after eating test meals to see if their levels stay safer. The goal is to see if this treatment can better control this common and disruptive side effect of bariatric surgery.
