Researchers hunt for clues: is this painful vein condition inherited?

NCT ID NCT05409781

Summary

This study aimed to find out if May-Thurner syndrome, a condition where a vein in the pelvis is compressed, runs in families. Researchers planned to use ultrasound scans to check for the condition in the close relatives (like parents, siblings, or children) of people who already have it. The goal was to gather new information about the condition's causes, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
