Jaw expansion study reveals hidden face changes

Summary
This study looks at how widening the upper jaw changes both the bones and the soft tissues of the face. About 38 people with a narrow upper jaw and crossbite will receive a custom-made expander anchored to temporary bone pins. Researchers will use 3D scans to measure the exact changes before, during, and after treatment.
