Summary

This study tested whether a 30-week course of the drug mavacamten is effective and safe for Japanese adults with symptomatic obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), a condition where the heart muscle thickens and obstructs blood flow. The trial involved 38 participants and measured changes in heart function, symptoms, and quality of life. Researchers wanted to see if the drug could reduce the heart's obstruction and improve how patients feel during daily activities.
