NCT ID NCT06200662
First seen Jun 15, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether hearing their mother's voice can reduce pain in very premature babies during a common blood draw procedure (venipuncture). About 48 babies born before 32 weeks will be studied, comparing standard pain relief with added maternal voice contact. The goal is to improve comfort and support healthy brain development in these vulnerable newborns.
