Summary

This study aims to measure how well a vaccine given to pregnant women protects their babies from severe Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) illness during their first months of life. Researchers will follow 5000 infants in Brazil, comparing those whose mothers received the vaccine to those who did not, to see if vaccinated mothers' babies have fewer hospital visits for RSV. The study will track babies who get sick with respiratory symptoms, testing them for RSV to determine the vaccine's real-world effectiveness.
