Summary
This study tested a simple, non-invasive idea: playing recordings of a mother's voice to her baby in the NICU, while the mother listens to her baby's sounds. The goal was to see if this voice exchange could improve mother-infant bonding and breastfeeding success. The study involved 60 mothers and their newborns with a breathing condition called transient tachypnea. Results suggest this gentle approach may support family-centered care in the NICU.
