Can a simple card and education help mothers get better care?
NCT ID NCT03145155
Summary
This study tested whether providing pregnant women with a health tracking card and education sessions would help them complete all their recommended pregnancy and postnatal check-ups. It also measured if the education improved their knowledge about chronic diseases (like diabetes or heart disease) and nutrition. The trial involved about 1,200 pregnant women in Myanmar, who were assigned to either receive the special program or receive usual care.
