First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at 200 mothers and their babies to understand how the whooping cough vaccine given during pregnancy protects infants. Researchers measured antibody levels in mothers and in umbilical cord blood, as well as in babies after their own vaccines. The goal was to find out what factors influence how well these protective antibodies are passed from mother to child.
