New drug trial targets debilitating mast cell disease symptoms

Summary
This study is testing whether an investigational drug called bezuclastinib can better control symptoms in people with nonadvanced systemic mastocytosis, a condition where too many mast cells build up in the body. The trial will compare the drug plus standard care against a placebo plus standard care in about 237 participants. The main goal is to see if the drug safely reduces daily symptom severity more effectively than current supportive treatments.
