Blood test study seeks clues for mysterious allergic disorders

NCT ID NCT07143669

Summary

This study aims to find out how often a specific genetic change (the KIT D816V mutation) is present in people who have symptoms that suggest a type of mast cell disease. Researchers will enroll about 450 participants who have unexplained severe allergic reactions, certain chronic symptoms, or related blood disorders. The main goal is to gather information by testing participants' blood, not to provide treatment.
