Summary
This study looked at whether massage and progressive muscle relaxation exercises can help reduce how often and how severe muscle cramps are for people on hemodialysis. Muscle cramps are a common and painful problem for these patients. The study involved 79 adults who had cramps at least twice a week. Researchers compared the effects of these non-drug approaches to see if they offer relief.
