First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether adding massage to the upper back muscles improves neck pain treatment. 60 adults with chronic neck pain (lasting over 3 months) were split into two groups: one received standard neck therapy plus back massage, the other received standard therapy alone. Researchers measured pain intensity and how much neck pain interfered with daily life.
