Gentle massage tested to ease pain and swelling for breast cancer patients

NCT ID NCT06297265

Summary

This study is testing whether a gentle massage technique called manual lymphatic drainage can help reduce side effects like swelling, pain, and poor body image in women receiving radiation therapy after breast cancer surgery. The research will involve 50 women with early-stage breast cancer who will receive the massage twice a week during their standard radiation treatment and for one month after. The main goal is to see if this approach is practical and well-tolerated, while also checking if it helps improve patients' comfort and quality of life.
