Gentle touch and movement studied to soothe digestive distress in palliative care
NCT ID NCT07125482
Summary
This study is testing whether simple, non-drug methods can help patients in palliative care who are receiving nutrition through a feeding tube. Researchers are comparing abdominal massage and gentle in-bed exercises to standard care to see if they reduce stomach problems like nausea, constipation, and bloating, and improve overall comfort. The goal is to find better ways to manage symptoms and improve quality of life for these patients.
