First seen May 12, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether avoiding mask ventilation during anesthesia induction improves the surgeon's view in robotic colorectal surgery. Sixty adults were randomly assigned to either mask ventilation or no mask ventilation before intubation. The goal was to see if no mask ventilation reduces stomach swelling and bowel movement, leading to a clearer surgical field.
