Scientists map how gene flaws shape young faces in rare disorders

NCT ID NCT07360704

Summary

This completed study aimed to understand how different genetic changes affect facial bone development in children with Marfan or Loeys-Dietz syndromes. Researchers analyzed X-rays from 39 children and teens with these conditions, comparing their facial structures to each other and to children without the syndromes. The goal was to find patterns that could help dentists and orthodontists provide better, more personalized care for these patients.
