Hands-On therapy eases jaw pain and headaches for arthritis patients
NCT ID NCT07171671
Summary
This study tested whether specific hand-based physical therapy techniques could help people with rheumatoid arthritis who also have painful jaw joint problems. 57 participants were split into groups receiving different types of manual therapy or no treatment for six weeks. The results showed that both therapy types improved jaw movement, reduced pain and headaches, and lessened anxiety compared to no treatment.
