First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested whether personalized strategies to reduce anxiety and stress can help people with Parkinson's disease who experience freezing of gait—a sudden inability to move while walking. 41 participants with daily freezing linked to anxiety were enrolled. Researchers measured how much time they spent frozen during a walking path at home, before and after learning anxiety-management techniques.
