First seen Feb 16, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at whether malnutrition makes it harder for foot sores to heal in people with diabetes. Researchers followed 75 patients with type 1 or 2 diabetes who had a foot sore for 1 to 24 months. They measured how many sores healed and checked how many patients were malnourished. The goal was to understand if better nutrition could help wounds heal faster.
